Things to do.
-
The Beach.
While it’s fun just to relax on the beach in the sand, there’s also a pirate ship for little ones to explore. On the far end of the beach past the pirate ship, you can find small shark teeth in the sand.
-
Local Events.
Throughout the year, North Beach hosts many events just outside your doorstep. Movies on the Beach, First Fridays, Farmers’ Markets, and the ever popular DrinkMaryland event, and many more!
-
Water Park.
Open during summer months, the Chesapeake Beach Water Park is less than two miles away and features a lazy river and several water slides.
-
Nature Trails.
The boardwalk is great for a walk, but there is also the Chesapeake Beach Railway Trail, and Wetlands Overlook Park. You can walk to either or take a short drive to their starting points.
-
Boat Rentals.
In Chesapeake Beach you can rent pontoon boats and kayaks at CB Water Sports. Try to plan in advance for a pontoon boat as their calendar fills up quickly.
-
Kids Playground.
Just across the large parking lot is Callis Park. Has everything to keep kids entertained, as well as exercise equipment for adults.
-
Sculpture Garden.
Just 3 blocks down the boardwalk you’ll see Sunrise Garden on the right. It features many sculptures from local artists as well as a large Koi pond.
-
Community Center.
The Northeast Community Center is located in Chesapeake Beach. It features indoor basketball courts, pool tables, ping pong, and other activties.
